In the men's cross-country team spring, Ben Ogden and Gus Schumacher surged to silver to deliver the United States its first-ever Olympic medal in the event. Ogden won his second silver as he previously became the first American man to reach an Olympic cross-country podium since 1976.
There are five members of Team USA competing at the Olympics who are over 40. Two of them have won medals at the Milan Cortina Games: 40-year-old Kaillie Humphries and 41-year-old Elana Meyers Taylor. NBC News’ Molly Hunter reports.

Tournament favorite Canada has outlasted Czechia in overtime to advance to the semifinals in men's hockey at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Mitch Marner scored the game-winning goal 1:22 into the 3-on-3 OT period.
In bobsled, it was a banner day for the American women in the monobob. Elana Meyers Taylor and Kaillie Humphries both flew around the track as they finished on the podium. Meyers Taylor won her first gold medal and became the oldest women's bobsled medalist at 41 years old, and Humphries took home the bronze medal.
The Swedes have far more NHL talent than any opponent the Americans have faced, including forward Lucas Raymond, who leads the team with five points; defenseman Rasmus Dahlin, who's averaged a team-best 22 minutes per game; and a goalie trio with NHL regulars Filip Gustavsson, Jacob Markstrom, and Jesper Wallstedt.
It's all eyes on Alyssa Liu in the Women's Free Skate event, while Team USA and Canada face off for the gold in hockey.
