I have a hate love relationship with oil paints. I have definitely gotten a hang of it but some things caught me off guard when I first started working with oil paints 1. Drying Time: Oil paints dry slowly. Like wayyyy slower than acrylics. The pros is it allows more time for blending but requiring patience when you’re painting in layers. 2. Clean-Up Hassle: Cleaning up after oil painting requires solvents, which can be a hassle. You can’t just wash it of with water and soap like regular paint.
