‘We will remember them.’ 10 years ago, in October 2015, a piece of Fenland war-time history was unearthed - the aircraft of Pilot Officer Harold Penketh, Spitfire X4593. This poignant project was an incredible collaboration between archaeologists, military personnel, volunteers and Great Fen partners.
